Proposed program
Describe the kind of program you would like to conduct and the outcomes you hope to achieve. We would like to connect with a school with a population that is very disparate to our own. It would also be very worthwhile for our students to connect with a school outside the metropolitan area to experience life beyond Sydney. It would be a valuable cultural outcome for our students to mix with a school from a much more traditional Australian community.
Briefly describe the type of school with which you would like to conduct your cultural exchange program. The description should include aspects of a school relevant to the success of your proposed program. Bateau Bay PS located on the NSW central coast would provide an opportunity to mix with a traditional Australian community in a beach side setting that is very different from our suburban location. Opportunities would be provided for email links and in the near future the connected classroom would further enable valuable social links culminating with interschool visits for the two communities.
