Schools (Years K-12) are asked to develop a 3 minute film which portrays a typical day in their students’ lives. Films may focus on individual students or groups of students and should aim to reflect the diversity of student backgrounds within the school. Film clips will be published online.
The project will result in the development of an audio-visual resource which explores the breadth of diversity of school students across NSW. The project is a joint initiative involving the Macquarie ICT Innovations Centre and the Multicultural Programs Unit.
Curriculum/Subject links:
Films for all age groups, Years K-12, are welcome. Films will be accepted on an ongoing basis.
Schools should submit films to cultural.exchange@det.nsw.edu.au. Additional project information may also be sought by emailing this address.
Please note that schools should seek permission from parents and students for films containing student images to be published online BEFORE films are submitted for publishing on this website.
Project moodle
Schools may first upload and trial films in a secure moodle environment if they wish. A moodle for this project has been developed by the Macquarie ICT Innovations Centre.
Schools wishing to access the moodle should send an email to cultural.exchange@det.nsw.edu.au indicating their intention to participate in the project and including the name of the school and contact person. A password, user name and formal set of instructions relating to the moodle will be provided and a school web page will be set up for film upload.
For additional information on the project moodle, see the Macquarie ICT Innovations Centre website.
